I’m excited to be participating in the Discovery Saga online scavenger hunt. For full details on the hunt and how you can participate (and possibly Win an Amazon Kindle) please go HERE

Part 1 in The Discovery series.

Join Meredith and Luke Stoltzfus, an Amish couple who are faced with the greatest challenge of their young lives. Financial struggles. Arguments. A suspected pregnancy. A last-minute trip to Middlebury, Indiana. A deadly encounter at a Philadelphia bus station. Will their love and faith be enough to bring them back together again, against all odds?

My Take:

I'm definitely hooked on this series, and waiting on pins & needles for #2! I immediately took a liking to both Merrie and her husband Luke. They are such a wonderful couple.

Luke being a proud man is the primary breadwinner and has been out of a job for six months. This has caused some strife between the two over finances. When he gets a message from his uncle in Indiana offering him his business of engraving headstones, he is elated and sets off for Indiana and hopefully, a new start for him & his family.

His wife, Merrie isn't so sure about this endeavor plus she doesn't want to be separated from him for weeks while he learns the business. She hasn't told him yet, but suspicions that she is pregnant.

Along the bus trip he encounters a drug addict who attacks him for his clothing and money. I just wanted to yell out-loud.. No! Not this kind man who may becoming a father for the first time and his beautiful wife who is anxiously waiting for him back at home.

Will he survive? WHAT will happen to Merrie? Will they ever be together again?
