How far will she go to follow her dreams?

The Civil War stole a father and brother from Faith Lindberg--as well as Royal Baxter, the man she wanted to marry. With only her grandfather left, she dreams of leaving Noble Springs, Missouri, and traveling west to Oregon to start a new life, away from the memories that haunt her. But first she must convince her grandfather to sell the family's mercantile and leave a town their family has called home for generations.

When Royal Baxter suddenly returns, Faith allows herself to hope that she and Royal will finally wed. But does he truly love her? Or will another man claim her heart?

"Where Wildflowers Bloom invites you to settle down over by the checkerboard at Lindberg's Mercantile Store and get to know the people of Noble Springs as they put the sorrows of the Civil War behind them and embrace life and love anew. Ann Shorey has come up with an appealing mix of history and romance that readers are sure to enjoy." ~ Ann H. Gabhart, author of The Blessed and Words Spoken True

In this the first book in the series, Sisters of the Heart, Faith Lindberg lives with her grandfather, whose dementia is worsening and he is the only family she has left in post-Civil-War Missouri. She's been through much heartache. She has lost her mom and grandma, then her father and her brother both perished during the Civil War. All she wants now is to leave the area and her grief by moving to Oregon with her grandfather. However, he doesn't want to leave the home he's known for years and the family-owned mercantile.

You will immediately connect with the well-written characters that intertwine with Faith including Rosemary, a nurse who has witnessed the tragedies of the war. Curt, a stableman who was injured in the war and shows a long jagged scar on his neck.

Will Faith fulfill her dream of moving to Oregon and be able to put the hurt behind her or will Curt capture her heart and keep her in small town Missouri?

A gripping Novel of love, hope, and second chances that will keep you turning the pages.
